Black Hawk- the gambling hotspot of Clear Creek County. I'm sure the original old town is around here somewhere, but it's been over-shadowed by these fairly hideous faux 19th century buildings.
Beyond Black Hawk is Central City, and from there you can take Oh My God Road (it's called that because it is unpaved, twisty, has steep drop-offs and no guardrails) to Idaho Springs, which has a restaurant that serves up a pretty good buffalo burger. And Idaho Springs is the jumping off point for the ride up Mt Evans on the highest paved road in the world.
We'll do that one in late June or early July.
Please note: The original version of this video contained what YouTube claims is copyrighted material (the song "Green Hornet" by Link Wray). While YouTube provided no proof of such claim, I decided to re-cut the video to exclude the allegedly copyrighted material. I have enough problems as it is without adding a battalion of flesh-eating lawyers to the mix.

Thanks for taking me along on your ride. Very nice countryside.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dude but YouTube has busted me for including a Link Wray song in the video. Copyright issues, you see. I'm going to have to edit the video to remove that portion.
