| Mmm... donut |
I like the widescreen aspect of 720p but there seem to be occasional glitches in the playback, as if the video resizes itself from time to time. You'll see what I mean. If this is a known bug I may stick with the 960p format. We'll see- I'm still scratching the surface of what can be done with the GH2.
For this clip I rubber-banded a two inch thick piece of open cell foam to the skeleton back of the camera enclosure. There's still some wind noise, but not as much as before, and you can hear more of the motorcycle's sound. I have a made-for-the-GoPro windscreen on order, but there may be a limit to how much wind noise I can realistically eliminate. I want to get all the technical glitches and learning curves behind me before the riding season begins for real, so I can concentrate on making entertaining videos of epic rides.
I was restricted to the neighborhood streets today because it was just too windy to get out on the Foothills Road. And at the required coffee stop, I went with a blueberry donut.
Good ride.

Looking good. Sure isn't much road noise.
ReplyDeleteGood choice on the donut. And those clouds through the windscreen look cool too.
Thanks T- these first 3 vids were about figuring out what camera setup works best for me and my bike, and learning to use the editing software-soon it will be time to get up in the canyons and mountains and make some hopefully awesome vids
