This summer, on my motorcycle...

Utah Scenic Byway 12 crosses the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument

This section of UT12 in the Escalante is called 'the hogback' because it follows a knife-edge ridge between two deep canyons- no guardrails, of course. Misjudge these curves and you are in a world of s***.

  2. That does look like fun. I think I could spend some time there, too... maybe the Connie will head in the direction of Utah. (I never thought I would ever consider heading to Utah...

    1. Why not? Great roads, great scenery, great people.

    2. I see that now. I saw the appeal when we were in the west last summer and started really looking at destinations. Had to put it off, though. So much to see in that part of the world (plus it was about 174 degrees there at the time.) Never thought about it before that moment... but I'm inclined to believe you. Looks worth the work.
